Currentum grows in Norway – acquires Veas Rør AS

The leading installation group Currentum is expanding its operations in Norway. Veas Rør AS joins the group, which consists of over 60 companies in Norway, Sweden and Finland.
– We are pleased to welcome Veas Rør AS and 75 new employees to Currentum. It is a company that suits us very well. Especially impressive is their good growth since the start and broad customer portfolio, says Anders Ettre, Norway Manager for Currentum.

The plumbing company Veas Rør AS was founded in 2013 and offers services in the service, residential and project segments. The company has a turnover of NOK 175 million and employs around 75 people, with Oslo and Västra Buskerud as its catchment areas. Veas Rør AS will become part of Currentum, which consists of more than 60 leading installation companies in Sweden, Norway and Finland with a total of more than 2,000 employees and a turnover of approximately SEK 6 billion.

– “We chose Currentum because it is a player that matches our profile. We have had good growth in recent years and with a strong partner like Currentum behind us, it will be possible to build on this development,” says Joakim Johannesen, CEO of Veas Rør AS.

Currentum entered the Norwegian market in August 2023 and, through the acquisition of Veas Rør AS, is strengthening its position, not least in the geographical area. The Group already includes the Norwegian companies Askim & Mysen Rør AS and Randem & Hübert AS. Like its sister companies, Veas Rør AS will continue to operate under its own management and retain its local roots, while benefiting from being part of a larger context.

– It is particularly important for us to continue to run Veas Rør AS independently, which we now have the opportunity to do. For our customers and employees, there will be no changes, but there will be greater security than before. We look forward to learning from the other sister companies in Currentum and good cooperation,” says Joakim Johannesen, CEO of Veas Rør AS.
