Currentum continues to grow – acquires BetaSähkö Oy

Currentum is expanding its operations and continuing its growth through the acquisition of BetaSähkö Oy. The company is headquartered in Kempele with 55 employees and had a turnover of approximately EUR 8 million in 2025.

BetaSähkö offers electrical installation projects and service work to the process industry, commercial properties, industrial premises, shops, banks, hotels and terraced, apartment and detached houses. Its customer base includes industrial companies, construction companies, investors, housing associations and public sector operators. With installation units across Finland, the company serves projects throughout the country and in northern Sweden. Its main locations are in the Oulu region, the Helsinki metropolitan area, Pirkanmaa and Rovaniemi.

The company’s experienced staff and owners will continue in their current roles and services will remain unchanged for customers.

– The expansion to the Oulu region and Northern Finland complements our offering well. It adds broad competence and experience that is valuable to Currentum. This will enable us to offer both existing and new customers an even stronger service offering throughout Finland,” says Sakari Toikkanen, Country Manager Currentum Finland.

– “It feels great to be part of Currentum’s network of electrical industry experts. The acquisition will allow us to take BetaSähkö’s growth to the next level, focus on more complex projects and create new collaborations within the group,” says Pertti Pitkälä, CEO of BetaSähkö.
